CAVES HOUSE - YALLINGUP, TELLING A STORY WITH WEDDING SEQUENCE PHOTOS

My clients often do not get to see or remember everything at their wedding. Some can be overwhelmed by the occasion whilst others just don’t have eyes in the back of their heads.

The most common feedback I get is that my clients simply didn’t see first hand a lot of the cool stuff that just happens at weddings.

I’m not talking big moments like speeches. I’m talking moments of emotion, joy, happiness. Cute kids playing, acting up. Friends and family excitedly greeting one another before your ceremony. The laughter.

In search of moments like this I know that more than one photograph can really give the viewer a chance to relive that moment. A bit like video but way cooler.

You see when documentary wedding photography was becoming a thing in the 1930’s, we had photographers that stared shooting moments as they unfolded and they were labelled “sequences”. I have talked about this before in a previous post but wedding sequences are a big part of my style.

This is a simple example at a wedding at Caves House in Yallingup. The cutest little flower girl is milking the crowd big time and grandma and great grandma are taking the bait.

A great example of a moment the bride and groom simply did not see on their day as they are chatting to guests before family photos.
