EIGHT WILLOWS RETREAT - MARGARET RIVER, FAVOURITE LOCATION

This is a favourite location on the property that I love to head to when photographing the bride and groom at Eight Willows Retreat in Margaret River.

The strand of gum trees are easily missed but if you time it right and get the light spot on it’s an incredible landscape scene.

The lovely subtle colours on the bark of the trees, each slightly different and some have a glow as the light wraps around them.

Behind the trees are some lovely mid green bushes that help the brides dress stand out, an important quality when photographing weddings.

This is one that I love to start by photographing further away for my clients who may like to get a wall artwork made. Some of my clients love how they are within a beautiful landscape scene, they feel they can enlarge this for their wall because there is more to the image than just them.

I must admit I’d feel the same but for those of my clients that are more than happy to have themselves larger on the wall I also move closer in and offer them the choice.

You can see how this would look by simply placing your hand across the top half of the photo. The bride and groom stand out even more.
