This sequence of wedding photographs captures the emotion and excitement of the guests at Cape Lodge in Yallingup.
Documentary photographers have traditionally used sequences of photos to tell their stories. I use sequences to show the raw emotions at weddings. Whether it’s spontaneous laughter or shedding a tear.
This sequence starts with the excited parents sharing a joke while the bride and groom sign the wedding certificate.
I had a hunch that something might go down here and I wasn’t disappointed.
I doubt that Scott and Zoe would have even seen this happen as they were busy with the celebrant and the paperwork.
Whilst photographing the signing perfectly I also managed to get this wonderful sequence of spontaneous reactions. Two sets of parents sharing a joke and laughing together.
What a brilliant image to have in the family. These photographs bring a smile to my face every time I view them.
