EIGHT WILLOWS RETREAT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

EIGHT WILLOWS RETREAT - METRICUP, DREAMY SUNSETS OVER THE LAKE

BRIDE AND GROOM AT EIGHT WILLOWS RETREAT

Hows this for a wicked spot to get some photos taken. Eight Willows Retreat in Margaret River has some incredible locations to have photos. All within an easy five to ten minutes stroll with a champers or beer in hand.

This is looking back across the spectacular lake to the venue. The sun dips behind the tree line and creates some lovely soft warm light.

A perfect backdrop to show your beautiful dress as you get some nice natural photos together.

I like my photo shoots to feel like we are just hanging out, having a laugh with you and your bridal party as we walk in the property.

I have a bunch of scenes that I have tried and tested many times before and I know when the light and conditions will be perfect.

There are always pleasant surprises that nature gifts us on the day and I will maximise those. This photo shows the incredible light that creates a glow across the lake. The leaves sparkle with light in the background, I love this look, it’s definitely something I include in my photos a lot.

EIGHT WILLOWS RETREAT - MARGARET RIVER, FAVOURITE LOCATION

BRIDE AND GROOM AT EIGHT WILLOWS RETREAT

This is a favourite location on the property that I love to head to when photographing the bride and groom at Eight Willows Retreat in Margaret River.

The strand of gum trees are easily missed but if you time it right and get the light spot on it’s an incredible landscape scene.

The lovely subtle colours on the bark of the trees, each slightly different and some have a glow as the light wraps around them.

Behind the trees are some lovely mid green bushes that help the brides dress stand out, an important quality when photographing weddings.

This is one that I love to start by photographing further away for my clients who may like to get a wall artwork made. Some of my clients love how they are within a beautiful landscape scene, they feel they can enlarge this for their wall because there is more to the image than just them.

I must admit I’d feel the same but for those of my clients that are more than happy to have themselves larger on the wall I also move closer in and offer them the choice.

You can see how this would look by simply placing your hand across the top half of the photo. The bride and groom stand out even more.
