Michael and Emma’s wedding at Meadow Springs Golf Club Mandurah WA

Photographs by Jenny

It was a very exciting day, Emma is from Sweden, so her family and 2 bridesmaids came from Sweden for the big event. My most amazing memory of the day was when we got to Dolphin Key in Mandurah for a bridal shoot, and the gorgeous girls Sophia and Annie ran towards the water. Being from Sweden, the amazing blue Indian Ocean was there to be played in. The groomsmen were lots of fun to, and Michael and Emma really enjoyed our time at Dolphin Key. Emma looked incredibly beautiful in her stunning wedding dress. Michael looked pretty sharp himself.

It was a great ceremony and reception at the Meadow Springs Golf Club in Mandurah. Which sits right on the golf course, it’s a terrific place for a wedding.  Michael and Emma had much to overcome to get to this day .Having much distanced between them, Emma eventually moved to Perth and they were married. It was a great day.

Chris and Marindas’ wedding in Serpentine WA, photos by Jenny

I love a country wedding. Getting out into rural country is always a treat.

Arriving at Chris and Marinda’s property was exciting. Beautiful dogs and a horse.

Got some great shots with Marinda her family and  the animals, then off to Leonda Reception Centre in serpentine for the ceremony and wedding.  What a stunning spot it is. Chris and Marinda got married in a Rotunda with a sparkling brook and bridge. It was a great ceremony for a really lovely couple.

We then headed off for some bridal shots. We had so many places to choose from.An old barn, beautiful  grounds , then off to a nearby property with the most beautiful tree you will ever see.

I really enjoyed the day and all the people I met.

Wedding pics by Jenny

Firstly I would like to say that Peter and Georgina are a divine couple, with a gorgeous daughter named Lexie.
We started the day at ST Lukes in Mosman park for the ceremony. A really beautiful church tucked away on monument st.
I was blown away at how beautiful Georgina looked as she got out of her limo. With 2 beautiful bridesmaids in red dresses.
Oh how I love red in pictures. Not to mention the most stunning little flower girls, one being Lexie. The flower girls posed for the camera
all day and the camera loved them. Inside  waiting  with baited breath was Peter and his groomsmen looking pretty sharp and a little page boy (too cute was he)
It was a really moving ceremony, very personal and full of love and joy.
We moved the what I call mossy hill, for a bridal shoot ,overlooking the city, Point Walter and of coarse the amazing Swan River.
It was a bit blustery and cold, but that couldn’t ruin what was a really memorable shoot for me. A few umbrellas went flying in the wind ,just adding to the fun.
The reception was at the Mosmans. A lunch time wedding, and I really love this place. The location, the jetty and its surrounds.
We had some fun on the jetty taking pics of the bride and groom and the the family.
It was a beautiful wedding and and honour to be part of it . Thanks guys I hope you like your pics of your special day.

Wedding Photography at Laurance Cellar in Margaret River

I really love Laurance Cellar for it’s range of spectacular scenery. There are the endless rows of beautiful grape vines that your eye follows along to the edge of the forest. They have also added a mixture of colourful roses into the vines to add a really lovely touch. Big London plane trees offer shade and when combined they create wonderful tunnel shapes to frame people in, perfect for a photo of a bride and groom sipping champagne. The cellar building has a wonderful character with textured walls and large rustic wooden doors. My wedding photography is about capturing natural pics of peoples emotions, their love, the joy and celebration. If you can add some beautiful scenery, textured backdrops into the images then you are really creating something very special. I do shoot pure candid shots but I also direct people into great settings where they can then just be themselves and relax whilst I create photographs. I love the creative lighting opportunities when inside the cellar building. The beautiful wooden framed windows and doors offer many great creative compositional ideas. The warm textured wall finish is highlighted by the vintage lighting which again combine to create wedding photographs that are more than just a photograph.

Outside again there is a lake, long grass, rows of gum trees and charming character house offering endless opportunities for the style of natural wedding photography that I love to create. I can see a wedding here being so wonderful, the light is perfect and the bridal shoot can be as long as the bride & groom would like it. In a very short time you could have a lovely mix of images that complete every brides wish. You do not have to be away from the guests for very long but there is always enough choice to photograph for hours at Laurance Cellar.

Laurance Cellar in Margaret River is a great location for wedding photography

Wedding Photography at the Leeuwin Estate, Margaret River in Western Australia

We are opening a photography studio in Margaret River to run alongside our successful Perth studio. As part of our preparations I travelled to this beautiful region to check out the wineries and meet up with some of the locals.

I visited the Leeuwin Estate, one of the founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district to meet up with the lovely Rachael, who manages the weddings and functions.  Driving in through the estate along a windy lane past the endless vineyards it was clear why this is a highly sought after destination to celebrate your wedding day.  I was here to scope out some great locations for photography and to pinpoint where I will be creating memorable natural images for my clients.

By the time I had entered the restaurant my head was buzzing with ideas for great images. The view from the balcony is made for either relaxing with a glass of wine or for someone like myself, getting very excited with my camera. The lawned area that meets a forrest of beautifully straight and very tall gum trees has a tranquil beauty that I love. I shot here in the late afternoon at a time that bridal shots would take place. The light is so soft and warm, perfect for portrait photography. Added to this, the soft natural colours of the forrest and vineyard, everything you need to create the style of natural photographs that have a subtlety which is very powerful.

I have met a lot of really genuine and nice people so far in Margaret River and Rachael is certainly one of them. Firstly she loved my images which was very cool and also during a hectic part of the day she took time to chat and help me find my feet. She told me where the best locations were on the estate which really helped. I have to say that with the stunning views, amazing food on show and great wine this really is a top spot to work and all the staff seemed to be well aware of that.

I will certainly be popping in again to say hi and taking some more shots. I am very excited about the images that I will be able to capture here. My style is very creative, natural and I love images with people within a landscape. For a bride and groom the best news is that you do not have to walk far to get a great range of images that will compliment each other beautifully. I think that is important and a great benefit to the Leeuwin Estate, in a relatively short space of time you can have some memorable wedding photographs and be back celebrating with your guests.

Updating my business profile photos in our Perth studio was a lot of fun

I had my own photo shoot today which was so much fun. I am never on this side of the camera lens so needless to say I felt pretty awkward to start with but after some loosening up I got into the flow. We do a lot of commercial profile shots and we like to give our clients a mixture of professional, fun and natural images.

Romantic portraits around Indiana Tea Rooms and Cottesloe Beach

The Indiana Tea rooms in Cottesloe has to be one of the ultimate beach locations in Perth for wedding and romantic couples portraits.  In the 1920s, on the expansive lawns in front, the first tea house hosted couples dancing cheek to cheek and silent movies. This beautiful iconic building overlooks the Indian Ocean and there is little to wonder why this has become a favourite location for wedding and portrait photography. Here are some of my favourite pics from this photo shoot on the beach with Mark and Helen.

Romantic couples photography at one of Perth’s many beautiful beaches

Romantic couples portrait photography at one of Perth's many beautiful beachesJacinta + Brent

When Jacinta and Brent approached Eternity back in October they said that they were after something that looked natural and captured their connection in a genuine way. As a photographer that’s exactly what we try to do, we work, we play, we explore, we create moments in which we can bring out the genuine emotion that you feel for each other and compress it all into a single frame. Blessed with an amazing sunset Jacinta and Brent’s portrait session was great and we really look forward to your wedding in October 2011.
